STORE MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION
Store Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Retail experience required - 2 year min preferred
- Customer Service Experience - 2 year min preferred
- Leadership/Management experience required - 2 year min preferred
- Ability to adapt to different customers
Responsible for management of day to day operations of SLSC which includes:
- Responsible for Opening and Closing of store
- Responsible for keeping store organized and stocked
- Responsible for correct POS inventory input
- Responsible for creation of Monthly and or Quarterly PO for inventory
- Responsible for stocking of: toilet paper, paper towels, shopping bags, printer paper, ink, etc
- Responsible for line item budget/ monthly reports
- Responsible for Managing/Training/ Onboarding of new employees
- Responsible for attending weekly manager meetings with Thomasville staff - Zoom
- Responsible for quarterly staff meetings/employee evaluations
- Responsible for scheduling staff on Homebase (should be done monthly)
- Responsible for coordinating with staff to pick up extra hours for Holidays and City Events where extended hours are necessary. ie : December, Black Friday, etc.
- Responsible for ensuring clean and well organized store by
- Dusting
- Vacuuming/Sweeping
- Take out trash
Responsible for Customer Engagement and Customer Service:
- Greeting every customer
- Effectively answering customer questions
- Engaging appropriately with the customers
- Effectively handling any problems with the customer
- Know how to properly assist customers over the phone
- Responsible for shipping and receiving (customer orders/ returns, etc)
- Answer phone calls/text messages from customers
- Taking fun photos of customers with bags for Macey (insta story)
Responsible for Product Knowledge:
- Knowing the names of every product
- Knowing the colors of every product
- Knowing the personality of the leather
- Knowing how products are made and why we are unable to do certain things customers may ask for. Example: Why we can’t make the bucket bag with a zipper
Responsible for Meeting Sales Goals:
- Responsible for inventory pars in store for each product/ shelf/ etc
- Responsible for knowing what our up-sale items are (train other sales associates on this)- will have a goal and associated metric
- Responsible for customer experience
- Responsible for building customer relationships
- Responsible for building customer database
- Responsible for seasonally changing store displays (keep consistent with Thomasville store)
- Responsible for correct merchandising of store - following merchandise map (stuffing, tags, etc.)
- Responsible for making sure appropriate playlist is always playing
